Criss-Cross Cashew Butter Cookies

The classic criss-cross cookie gets an update with cashew butter, chocolate and sprinkles!

By now, you know I have a gazillion different quirks – many I’ve shared. The newest –Β  fork size.

I cannot stand the dinner fork. The size is too awkward for comfortably dining. Don’t get me wrong – it has its uses – like piercing potatoes to test for doneness or making criss crosses in cookies πŸ˜‰

The classic criss-cross cookie gets an update with cashew butter, chocolate and sprinkles!

But it has no business acting like an eating instrument.

That’s where the salad fork comes in πŸ˜‰ At least I won’t be going to any fancy dinner parties in the near future where this activity would be frowned upon!

The classic criss-cross cookie gets an update with cashew butter, chocolate and sprinkles!

Today I’m sharing the recipe for these Criss-Cross Cashew Butter cookies on My Cooking Spot. (a perfectly acceptable excuse to use the dinner fork!) Forget the classic peanut butter cookie – this cashew butter version is more fun since it’s dipped in chocolate AND has sprinkles!

Haha I’ve never thought about the dinner sized fork before! Sometimes I swear it’s really the same as the salad fork at restaurants, and other places, it’s very easy to tell the difference. These cookies look delicious, Megan! I’ve never used cashew butter in cookies before, so I’m loving this flavor! Heading over to check out the recipe!

I love your use of cashew butter – a nice contrast to the peanut butter and almond butter I often use – and added oomph that these are dipped in chocolate! Btw, I have to eat most all my dishes with a spoon – with the exception of some meats – but, I understand your dilemma, the salad fork is perfectly sized!

LOL! Seriously girl, with all your quirks I TOTALLY feel like we are cut from the same cloth! I always use a salad fork to eat too! I put a “normal size” fork out for Boy and I always use a small one. He loves to make fun of me, but I don’t care. πŸ˜‰ Anyways, these cookies look absolutely delicious.. and SO pretty! I’ll take at least a dozen! Cheers, sweets!

Girl, I get you! I think you’re the only one who feels the way I do about regular forks. They’re big & bulky and I’m always missing my mouth. People think I’m crazy. Good to know I’m not the only one! These cookies sound amazing too. Cashew butter makes everything so buttery good.

The fork quirk is cute. In my house we never seem to have all the same size forks clean at the same time, so when (if) I set the table each person gets a different size fork, lol. I love these cashew cookies and the fact they are dipped in chocolate and sprinkles makes me love them even more. Take care.

Hahaha…I totally understand you on this post! I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned it myself, but I have fork issues, too. I don’t mind the dinner fork for dinner…but when it comes to desserts, I need MINI! So much so that we have a set of mini forks (smaller than salad) and mini spoons JUST for desserts. πŸ™‚ Can I eat these cookies with a mini fork? Please? They look delicious!
