A cross between a pecan sandy and maple pecan pie I've never been really serious about New Year's Resolutions, I mean I make 'em, but then nothing really happens (except that one time I resolved to floss my teeth everyday - that one worked - TMI?) This year (2015,) I came up with a list of resolutions. I decided I should evaluate a few of these - cause you totally need to know if I was successful, right? Some of them will be making it on the 2016 list, too - the changes have to be made, ...

Hummingbird Granola
Granola filled with the flavors of spring There's big news at the TEB household - we have kittens! I'm obsessed with cats, so you know I went wild when I heard the news. I actually couldn't believe it. See - this female cat started coming by each day at the same time and same place. The first time I saw her I thought she was "in heat," so I joked that we would be having kittens soon - but I didn't mean in two days! It turns out she had the kittens in our backyard. Hummingbird Cupcakes
A springlike cupcake flavored with banana, pineapple and pecans Today's post is extra special. The next idea was a chocolate pecan fudge, but then I realized I didn't have enough powdered sugar. I'm glad I didn't though because if I had I wouldn't have been able to have these delicious bars. You start by making the crust, which is a chocolate shortbread. The technique is very similar to pie crust in that you ...
Spiced Pecan Bites
A quick snack combining salty and sweet The other day I wanted a quick treat to whip up. I came up with these easy bites that combine ingredients I had on hand. I used pretzels, candy corns, chocolate chips and Maple Spiced Pecans. These are easily customizable with any ingredients you have on hand. All you need to do is assemble the melting ingredient (candy corn, chocolate chip, etc.) on top of a pretzel. Then pop under a broiler. Keep a close eye and then top with your nut of choice. ...
